Photographer: 'If I could have, I would have' saved man on subway tracks
Wed Dec 5, 2012
I agree, "somebody should have helped him" - however, for anyone who has used the NYC subway frequently, you know how fast those trains come in - how terrifying it can't be.
Is liberal Christianity signing its own death warrant?
Thu Jul 19, 2012
Sadly, yes. And I am more liberal! Unfortunately, it's the conservative crowd that shows up week after week, after week.
TODAY Investigates: Dirty surgical instruments a problem in the OR
Wed Feb 22, 2012
You have never seen surgical instruments because clearly you are not someone who works in the OR. Get real. I've been an OR nurse for 30 years - trust me, we have literally thousands of instruments that get processed every day.
Dirty surgical tools: Gross, dangerous -- and more common?
Wed Feb 22, 2012
So true - sadly it is all about the almighty dollar and reimbursement. In order to "stay alive" financially, the OR must keep the rooms constantly busy - an empty OR means loss of income.
'Can Olive Garden be fixed?' Quit snickering, foodies
Tue Jan 24, 2012
I used to love OG and we would go once every few months, but everytime I have been within the last few years, it just seems trashy - and they constantly remove items from the menu. It used to be a nice, quaint little place where I could rely on the same wonderful meal each time.
Child care cuts force hard choices on parents

Many of you are out of touch on the sky-rocketing costs of college tuition. Ole Miss is 28,900 a year, just for basics, for non-resident students.
More college women speak in creaks, thanks to pop stars
Mon Dec 12, 2011
AUGH! I thought it was just me that noticed this awful new trend! My other hated speech-annoyance? Pronoucing everything with "str" as "shtr" - for example.... "She lives on my shtreet....and she wears a shrtipped shirt!" Nails on a chalkboard......
S.C. man loses snowball fight
Thu Jan 13, 2011
Guess the snow brings out the childish in everyone....my neighbor has a "topless" snow-woman, complete with charcoal for nipples and with holly branches for her "privates"....try explaining that to my 6 year old little boy...ugh!
Should the NYT have run the couple's story in their 'Vows' column?
Tue Dec 21, 2010
For once in my life, I agree with Kathy Lee - if you're going to be a scum bag, at least do it in private.
